what are the ages of children elmhurst premier childcare accepts for enrollment?
We accept children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
How much does elmhurst premier childcare cost?
We offer flexible full time, part time and hourly care and are offering tours via zoom to discuss an option that meets your family's scheduling needs.
do you have cameras in your classrooms?
Yes! We have cameras in our rooms for training and our ability to review any incidents.
Do you offer drop in or hourly care?
Upon a family being fully enrolled, with all required paperwork on file, YES, drop in/hourly reservations are accepted.
What is a STEAM based curriculum?
Children naturally love to experiment. STEAM activities channel that curiosity. Our carefully planned activities build a strong educational foundation through hands on learning and play! Research shows STEAM develops future ready skills and encourages a growth mindset. Our teachers bring to us the experience and education/certification, that allows us to implement a high quality learning environment, while children are learning through play, each and every day!
how do you keep the center clean?
We have a full commercial kitchen and are able to send out toys daily for a 3 step cleaning process. We are a bleach free center. We use superior products for disinfecting and sanitizing that require less time to "kill" germs than bleach, SAFER than bleach and even take it one step further and utilize an end of day, hospital grade, air sanitizer that is used after a professional evening cleaning. We have inidividual UV stations in all classrooms AND we have a HVAC air scubber in our sysetm too! Additionally, we have contracted with Stratus for our regular, daily commercial cleaning.
General Questions
can i bring my child's lunch or snacks?
We cannot allow any outside food, per DCFS and the DuPage County Health Department for children ages 15 months and older. Parents provide food for young infants and our catering begins in our Infant 3 classroom, if desired.
What do you do for birthday celebrations?
Due to food allergies, Elmhurst Premier Childcare requests that only non food items be brought in to celebrate your child's birthday. If you'd like to send in items, stickers are always a fun addition, along with birthday hats, etc are suggested.
When is Elmhurst Premier Childcare Center Closed?
We are closed the following holidays:

Memorial Day(we encourage all of our families to walk with us in the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce Memorial Day Parade)

Do you follow Elmhurst District 205 for weather closings?
Elmhurst Premier Childcare does not follow the Elmhurst School District 205 calendar. We do our very best to remain open, unless we have severe weather conditions, we are open year round.

Do you accept Childcare assistance?
We are currently accepting Childcare assistance, or CCAP during Covid-19 state restrictions.
Do you have a parent committee?
Yes! Our parent committee is the best out there! Our parents are engaged and help keep all of our families involved and in the loop!
Do you close for teacher in service training?
Yes, twice a year we close for in service training days for our teachers. Dcfs and Elmhurst Premier does require teachers to attend ongoing training. In the event we need to close the center either early or for a day, parents will be notified 2 weeks or more in advance.
Do you have special events planned throughout the year?
Elmhurst Premier Childcare DOES offer special family and center events throughout the year!! Please check with our center directly for details.
