Preschool

Before your child begins in our PreK classroom (ages 4 through pre-K), we’ll meet with your family to discuss what to expect. You'll receive real-time electronic updates including details on meals, potty breaks, outdoor time, daily progress, and more.

Each day begins with a warm welcome to set a positive tone. Preschoolers enjoy a day filled with circle time, story time, meals, play, outdoor exploration, and engaging learning activities.

Please provide breakfast before drop-off. Snack time is around 9–9:30 a.m.

Our center utilizes the Learning Beyond Paper Curriculum, guided by STEAM principles—one of the most widely adopted preschool frameworks in the country. This comprehensive, research-based curriculum creates an engaging, high-quality learning environment where children’s experiences are not only intentional but also fun and meaningful.

The curriculum promotes social-emotional development and supports all children in building strong skills across 10 key areas of learning. We focus on cognitive growth, introducing numbers, letters, puzzles, games, science projects, math concepts, and writing.

By fostering creativity and confidence, our teachers create a small, nurturing setting where children thrive, are always learning through play and are loved and nurtured.

Every classroom, from infants to preschool, our children will have a specialized music class from Music Together in Elmhurst.   There is weekly additional fee for you child's class with a certified instructor.  We know children will develop a love for music that can be nurtured indefinitely.

Our Preschool classroom is thoughtfully designed with health and sustainability in mind. Like the rest of our center, it features Community Playthings furniture—renowned for high quality, safe design, and LEED certification.

Natural elements like branches for hanging artwork and eco-friendly, organic supplies—including crayons, markers, and blankets—reflect our commitment to a safe, green environment.

This classroom also includes a child-only bathroom, ensuring comfort and convenience for our preschoolers.

Elmhurst Premier’s Pre-K classroom offers a variety of activities that foster a love of learning and help children build friendships.

Children are introduced to reading, writing, manners and basic Spanish while engaging in individual and group activities that encourage exploration of their individuality and social skills.

We also focus on teaching nutrition, self-help, accountability, empathy, manners, and problem-solving to support their overall growth and prepare them for future success and preparedness for Kindergarten.
